Fantasy: Crafter's Design Library

A user friendly source of designs inspired by the magical imagery of fantasy, myth and legend. The front section gives suggestions for all types of craft uses, how to adapt designs and apply them to craft media. The designs are sorted into the following categories: Fairies, Elves and Pixies - Witches and Wizards - Glades and Grottos - Dragons - Mythical Beasts - Horsemen and Heraldry - Castles, Towers and Turrets - Other Worlds - Celestials and the Zodiac (american)- Borders and Backgrounds.

Celtic: Crafter's Design Library

This book has a whole section in the front with an introduction to Celtic Art, ideas for craft use, how to apply motifs to various craft media, adapting and embellishing designs and using color. The design section has knots, zoomorphic, spirals, saints and angels, tree of life, La Tene (another Celtic Art form) and alphabet. Here's some pages from this book:

Page 39 of Celtic Design Library has five Celtic knots printed in clear black and white. They could easily be enlarged for use as applique patterns.
