News for May More of Scarlett's patterns have been converted into E-Patterns! A Celtic Rose Garden, Knotwork Nine Patch and others, with more to come - see what's available now for online purchase with immediate downloading. Are you a member of The Applique Society? The May/June issue of the TAS newsletter has an original variation of one of Scarlett's Celtic basket blocks included free, along with two of her smaller block designs. This issue is entirely on Celtic applique. Besides Scarlett's how to make bias article, there is an article with a bit more about the history of Celtic art. If you're interested in more Celtic blocks, have a look at Baskets: Celtic Style, Scarlett's second book. Scarlett's newest pattern is an Asian inspired design! Have a look at the Phoenix 1, a bias strip applique pattern also available as an E-Pattern. My Heart's Desire, a brand new Celtic applique block designed by Scarlett, is available as a printed pattern or as an epattern. If you're going anywhere near Golden, Colorado, you might want to visit the Quilter's Newsletter/CK Media Gallery, where Scarlett's quilt Peacock Mythos will be on display as one of 34 International MyFab Quilts from May 9th thru August 1st. There were 20 Japanese MyFab quilts on display. Some of the Japanese quilts are shown online, just to give you a taste of what amazing quilts are in this two part exhibit. |
